Dr. Qing X. Li is a professor in the Department of Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering, University of Hawaii at Manoa and serves as the director of UH proteomics core facility. Dr. Li serves as an Associate editor of Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, American Chemical Society.
Dr. Li received his Ph.D. in agricultural and environmental chemistry from the University of California at Davis in 1990. He then had his post-doctoral training in neurochemistry in the University of California at Berkeley. He joined the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1995.
His research is multidisciplinary and is centered on Alzheimer’s drug discovery, mode of action, chemical proteomics (i.e., chemical action target identification, protein interactions and networks), and agrochemicals. His research has resulted in approximately 400 peer-reviewed scientific publications. Among many recognitions, Dr. Li received the AGRO Award for Innovation in Chemistry of Agriculture in 2017, American Chemical Society.
