Dr. David Kaminskas is a neurologist and serves as the Director of the Headache and Facial Pain Center, a specialty clinic at Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience Institute. Specialty clinics are specially designed with a multidisciplinary team approach to care for patients with those specific neurological conditions.
Dr. Kaminskas received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine in University of Southern California. He completed a surgical internship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and then an Internal Medicine internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan followed by a neurology residency at University of California, San Diego. His training focuses on cutting-edge stroke management including the use of Botox for spasticity as well as specialized care for headache treatments, including the use of Botox and Nerve Injections. He is a member of Headache Cooperative of the Pacific, a multidisciplinary group dedicated to providing the most compassionate and effective care for those suffering from headaches.
Dr. Kaminskas is an accomplished kitesurfer, canoe paddler, surfer and sailor who has had the wonderful opportunity of serving the medical needs of the Native Fijian population.
