This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join a proven successful and Hawaii’s only fully integrated multidisciplinary geriatrics and neuroscience team caring for our kupunas.

HPN is a recognized leader in the Geriatrics field especially in the areas of Neuroscience (Dementia & other neurodegenerative diseases) and is one of the largest providers of geriatrics & neuroscience care in the state serving over 24,000 patient visits in 2016 including over 300 research visits. The growing multidisciplinary neuroscience has campuses in Honolulu and Windward Oahu with state of the art 27 clinic rooms. The candidate will be trained and backed by a full multidisciplinary team consisting of geriatrician, 5 neurologists (adult & pediatric), neurosurgeon, neuropsychologists and psychologists. HPN is closely affiliated with acute care Adventist Health Castle hospital and Villa at St Francis Healthcare system of Hawaii.

This position requires affability and aptitude to work with the geriatric & neurology population especially those with memory disorders. Memory evaluation and diagnostic testing to determine the etiology of memory concerns is combined with continuity of care for those diagnosed with dementia. Skills in geriatrics primary care require a whole patient focus to include family and other caregivers. The work includes sub-acute long- term care and house calls. The nurse practitioner will have responsibilities to assist in the Clinical Research Center. There will be responsibilities assisting specialists in epilepsy, migraine, movement disorders and sleep neurology. The optimal candidate is responsible, self-actuated and appreciates team work.
