Our patient centered care model allows our patients to access care through a variety of specialized, disease specific centers including Memory and Brain Health Center, Center for Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders, Headache and Facial Pain Center, Center for Stroke and Neurologic Restoration, Center for Behavioral Health, Center for Geriatric Medicine, Center for Seizure Disorders and Epilepsy, Center for Brain Tumor and Neuro-oncology, Center for Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Center for Spine Health, Center for Neuromuscular Disorders, Center for Neuroscience Clinical Trials, Center for Brain Science Research, Center for Neural Engineering and Innovation, Wellness Center for Mind Body Medicine.   Each center incorporates an interdisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and management of a specific neuroscience condition, harnessing the expertise of different specialists in a close collaborative manner working towards delivering the best care for the complex neurological conditions.

HPN physicians and scientists also lead the state in bringing neuroscience research and clinical trials to the islands.  HPN is also Hawaii’s largest neuroscience academic and teaching program attracting over 30 residents, medical students, post doctorate, graduate and research students in 2013.

Department:  Center for Occupational Health and Wellness (COW)

HPN is looking for a full time, experienced Occupational Medicine Physician that is Board certified in Occupational medicine to join our growing, dynamic, fully integrated, collaborative multidisciplinary specialists as the Director of COW.  This will be a chance of a life to develop and built a world class program from the ground up.  

The COW at HPN is committed to expanding occupational and environmental medicine knowledge, applying proven occupational and environmental medicine best practices, spreading occupational and environmental medicine expertise throughout the state, and improving access to care working collaboratively with our neuroscience team of physicians and midlevel providers.  The culture of HPN is patient and family centered with an all-in-one approach. HPN emphasizes an interdisciplinary, interdependent team approach and partnerships between patients and care providers.

The candidate will have once in a lifetime chance to develop and lead a team in providing occupational and environmental medicine, supported by a fully integrated team of neuroscience physicians and wide base of referral from around the state.   The Director is expected to develop, lead and grow these services in response to the need of the community.
